| Hello, my name is Elaine. Magic boxes have become a bit of an obsession with me. I started playing with the 'exploding box' principle a while ago and was disappointed that the explosion wasn't three dimensional enough. After trying paper springs I experimented with acetate strips, mounting the flowers and butterflies onto the tips of the acetate. This produced the result I was looking for - flowers nodded, gracefully, and butterflies danced in the air as if they were flying. |

magic-boxes - I use many craft techniques in my handmade boxes including: stamping, embossing, glitter lace and inking. The flowers, butterflies and dragonflies are made using stamps, punches or my own templates. Embellishments include: gemstones, glitter, ribbon and the occasional peel-off. Handmade silk paper is a favourite of mine for flowers such as orchids. Exploding, magic boxes are a pefect card gift for any special occasion including wedding, wedding anniversary, birth, birthday, mothersday, Christmas and more. Much more than a card magic boxes are a fantasy world with interactive play. Once you've opened one you'll want to do it again and again.
I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoyed making them - Elaine.
